Easter Fun at the Meyer House!!!
These are the bunnies I made for my primary class. They are washcloths rolled and folded and then they hold a plastic easter egg full of treats. I may be biased but I think they turned out pretty cute. I have to give credit where credit is due though.....this was my mom's project that I just copied!
So this has a funny story! Sunday morning I was feeling kinda stupid cause we hadn't really made any plans for celebrating Easter. I had got a small basket with a few treats and movies but not much. Well I got this crazy idea to try and make a easter bunny while Dustin was still in bed. So I started searching for anything and everything I could find. This is what I came up with. A corn muffin mix for the base. Marshmellow cream to frost the ears. M&Ms for the eyes and nose. Chocolate chips for the whiskers, butterscotch chips for the mouth and a marshmellow cut up for the two bucked teeth. It looks totally ridiculous I know! When Dustin came out and saw it he asked "What is it suppose to be a moose?" So this is my failed attempt at a bunny rabbit that has know been dubbed the "MOOSTER BUNNY" in our house. We may just have to make one every year now! :-)
I decided that you are never to old to color easter eggs. I have a girl I work with that just moved here from Kenya. She asked me at work what all the fuss was about eggs. She had never heard of dying easter eggs. So I invited her over to the house and we colored eggs. Below is so of what we colored. We used rubber bands to make the striped ones. It's harded then it looks to make a thin rubber band stay on an oval shaped egg.
This was our special belated celebration with the easter bunny!!! When I got hom from work Friday Dustin told me to go look in my shoe that had been sitting on the front porch for a few days. To say the least I was nervous that it was going to be a snake or a mouse, neither of which I am very fond of!!! Much to my surprise it was something fluffy and cute!! Dustin had caught him on the side of the house when he was mowing and saved him so I could see. We have two big bunnies that frequent our backyard, but this little guy is probably only a few weeks old!
What a cutie on the right!!!!!!! Yeah Yeah I know the bunny is cute too. ;-)
Cute! I could tell it was a bunny and not a moose! Ha ha that is funny though. You look so cute with short hair!
