First Snow in Missouri

We had our first snowstorm in Missouri last Saturday night.  We got a whopping 2-3 inches and wouldn't you know it they cancelled church!  DEFINATELY not in Utah anymore! :-)
Our first official christmas tree in our own home! We had to go and buy one :-(  When we went it was so cold!!!!!  We were standing there looking at the pile and Dustin told me "I don't care which one you pick just grab it and lets go"  So without even browsing and just grabbing one out of the pile I would say we didn't do too bad!

 Messing around in the kitchen.
Can't wait to officially meet this beautiful angel in person in less than two weeks!!!  I'm not going to lie I was pretty jealous when Dustin got to see her and hold her and I didn't.  My mom said Parker was ecstatic to see Uncle Dust.  Those two will be buddies forever!!
This is my best find of recent.  I had this wall and knew I wanted a shelf. I have wooden letters that spell Meyer and wanted something to display them on.  Well after looking at 6 + stores and not finding what I wanted I was kind of discouraged.  So I decided to try my luck and look at a local flea market!!!  I had a blast!!  It was so much fun and I was so excited when I found this for less than $10 dollars!!!  For the season it is the home of my Christmas Bear from the year Dustin and I got married and I'm so excited to be able to change what I display for every holiday.  It's funny but what you find the best deal on you appreciate the most!!!

Meyer Madness in Missouri

Welcome to our new crazy world in Missouri!!  This year has been full of changes!!  We have moved to Missouri, bought a house, I got a new job, and Dustin started Veterinary School at the University of Missouri!  I got a request from a very special friend that she wanted to be able to keep up with my life even though we are far apart. So here we go.  I can't promise I'll be the most consistent blogger, but I'll try.
This is my new kitchen.  Kinda narrow but it work just fine for the two of us!
Living room without decorations. I actually got it all decorated today, but Dustin has the camera in Utah so I'll have to update this when he gets back.
Look what he found when we went on a hike this fall!  It had a huge web!!!!
Does this picture surprise anyone that knows my husband very well?  What a tease!!
 Added just for fun!
Day trip to Nauvoo and Carthage with my parents.  They showed up on Wednesday night and surprised me at work and stayed clear till the next Monday.  I had NO IDEA that they were coming!!!  My boss was in on it and everything and my dad came through the drive thru and my mom was standing in the lobby!!!  I started crying right there in front of my boss and everything, but it was the best surprise that I have ever got.  It was so fun to have them here for a few days!!!  Mom spoiled me with homemade clam chowder, breadsticks, pizza, and all sorts of other goodies while she was here!
Halloween at work!  We were ooompa looompas if you couldn't tell.  My manager was Willy Wonka, and we also had Veruca, Violet, and Charlie present.  To top it all off we had a chocolate fountain in the lobby where our customers could dip marshmellows, strawberries, pretzels, and doughnut holes in the chocolate!!  And by the way, yes my hair is DYED green!!!  I got quite a few funny looks driving home from work when I got stuck in traffic. :-)

Currently Dustin is in Utah for Thanksgiving and his little sisters wedding in a couple of days!! Couldn't be more excited for Anson and Heather!!!  I had to work so I am holding down the fort by myself.  But I did get another wonderful surprise yesterday.  When I got home from work there were two BIG boxes sitting in my entry way!!  My WONDERFUL mom and sisters sent me a Thanksgiving care package!!! It came complete with all the ingredients for Thanksgiving including the makings of two of my favorite holiday salads, stuffing, mashed potatos and gravy, a can of corn, a fresh sweet potato, a can of cranberry jelly, a bottle of mom's incredible sweet pickles, olives, scone mix (they couldn't come up with a way to send me rolls :-) )cans of grape juice and a sprite (holiday drink tradition), pie crusts and pie filling, and dream whip to put on the top,  But my mom didn't stop there.  She also sent me Thanksgiving decorations to hang up and a small fiber optic christmas tree to put in my house.  We always go Christmas tree hunting Thanksgiving morning....so she sent me a tree so I wouldn't feel left out!!! I have been trying all day to figure out how I got so blessed as to have the absolutely wonderful family that I have, on top of that I have an incredible husband, amazing friends that check up on me, I have a warm home, a good job, and a bright future.  I am truly feeling the spirit of Thanksgiving today!  So here's a big thanks to all those that love me and make my life so good!
